The B-36 Peacemaker was an a 10-engine long range strategic bomber developed
by the American company Consolidated Vultee (later Convair) for the U.S.
Army Air Force. The first flight was in august 1946 and the B-36 went into
service in June 1948. 380 B-36's were produced. The B-36 was replaced by
the B-52.
