B-21


The B-21 is a new U.S. Air Force bomber under development to replace the B-1B Lancer and B-52 within the U.S. Air Force. The project is designated as the Long-Range Strike Bomber (LRSB) program.

Development
2015
On 28 October 2015, it became public that the pentagon awarded Northrop Grumman a 80 billion dollar contract as the prime contractor. The other competitor was a joint venture of Boeing and Lockheed Martin. The current contract award contains a Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase
and the delivery of 21 bombers for a fixed price of 21.4 billion dollars.
