The HC-130P/N aircraft of the Air Force Special Operations Command as part of the United States Air Force are primarily used for: increasing the range of combat rescue helicopters to refuel them in enemy environment. |

Other
tasks are: delivery of tactical airdrops of pararescue special units,
4WD terrain vehicles, visual and electronic search missions over land
or water, tactical landings on primitive landing places by day and by
night with usage of night vision goggles. A team of 3 pararescue specialists
who have been specially trained for emergency incidents are part of the
