C-141
Starlifter The C-141 Starlifter has been developed by the American company Lockheed-Georgia Co. for the US Air Force. The primary role of the C-141 Starlifter is troop and cargo transport. |

In
1964 the first C-141A was delivered to the Air Force and in 1965 the first
squadron was operational. The C-141 flow operational with the US Air Force
till 2004. From 1986 till 2004 the US transferred the 20 airplanes from
the active Air Force to the US Reserve and the US National Guard. Since
2004 the airplanes are part of the AMC (Air Mobile Command). The 20 airplanes
take care of military aero medical evacuation and airlift. Mission The C-141 Starlifter was the first us airplane which could transport troops and cargo. The C-141 is be able to transport 200 troops or 155 paratroops or 31239 kg cargo. Besides the C-141 (B) can also be refueled by tanker airplanes. Versions The C-141A was the first version which came operational in 1965. Between 1979 and 1982 all A versions have been updated till B version. Between 1997 and 2001 all B version have been updated till C version. The B version can be refueled by tanker airplanes (The C-141A not) The C version has a addition of more advanced avionics.
